Sleeping (and exercising) more increases your work performance
If you want to get more work done or improve the quality of your work, you might want to consider getting more sleep. Or start exercising more. Or both. This is suggested by a Japanese study published in the Journal of Public Health.
Study
Because the employees had completed questionnaires about their way of life, the researchers had an idea of their lifestyle. The employees also answered a question about their performance at work. Based on the answer to that question, the researchers had given the employees a score that indicated how much work the study participants could get done - and how good the quality of their work was.
Results
Another, but less strong, factor was exercise. Employees who exercised less than an hour per day were significantly more likely to perform poorly at work.
