At this vitamin D3 level, SARS-CoV-2 is (in theory) no longer lethal

If you manage to raise your vitamin D3 level to 50 nanograms per milliliter, your chances of dying from SARS-CoV2 infection are practically zero. Well, in theory. This is suggested by a statistical exercise that three independent German researchers have published as a preprint.

Study
Lorenz Borsche, Bernd Glauner and Julian von Mendel collected eight studies in which researchers measured the vitamin D3 levels of covid patients on the day they were admitted to hospital, and then determined whether those conscious patients could have survived their disease.

Results
The more vitamin D3 circulated in the patients' blood, the greater their chance of survival. This is not surprising in itself, because vitamin D plays a key role in the immune system.

When the researchers aggregated the results of all that study, they were able to use statistics to calculate at which concentration of vitamin D3 the risk of death if infected with SAR-CoV2 could in theory be minimal. That was, they were able to find out, at a level of just over 50 nanograms per milliliter.

In the studies, hardly anyone had such a high level. If we could manage to give everyone such a high vitamin D3 level, SARS-CoV2 could lose its lethality on a population level, the authors speculate.

According to the WHO, a vitamin D3 level of up to 120 nanograms per milliliter is safe.

Conclusion
"According to many scientists and medical professionals, we are far from the end of this disaster and hence must learn to coexist with the virus for several more years, perhaps decades", write the Germans. "It is realistic to assume that there will be new mutations, which are possibly more infectious or more deadly."

"Due to the great number of viral genome replications that occur in infected individuals and the error-prone nature of RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, progressive accrual mutations do and will continue to occur."

"Thus, similar to other virus infections such as influenza, we have to expect that the effectiveness of vaccination is limited in time, especially with the current vaccines designed to trigger an immunological response against a single viral protein."

"We have already learned that even fully vaccinated people can be infected. Currently, most of these infections do not result in hospitalization, especially for young individuals without comorbidities."

Conclusion
"However, these infections are the basis for the ongoing dissemination of the virus in a situation where worldwide herd immunity against SARS CoV 2 is rather unlikely. Instead, humanity could be trapped in an insuperable race between new mutations and new vaccines, with an increasing risk of newly arising mutations becoming resistant to the current vaccines."

"As future mutations of the SARS-CoV-2 virus may not be susceptible to the acquired immunity from vaccination or from a preceding infection, the entire population should raise their serum vitamin D level to a safe level as soon as possible. As long as enough vitamin K2 is provided, the suggested D3 levels are entirely safe to achieve by supplementation."

And again a scientific medium publishes a meta-study that concludes that an adequate vitamin D level protects against the corona virus.

Covid-19 infection with hardly any symptoms - thanks to the tanning bed?
You have all the characteristics of someone who can become deathly ill from infection with the dreaded covid-19 virus, yet infection has little effect on your health. All you notice is a dry cough.
