You will be healthier if you eat oyster mushrooms 4 times a week
If you already eat healthily, you can further improve your diet by adding edible mushrooms such as oyster mushrooms to your diet. According to a small human study in the International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms, incorporating oyster mushrooms into your diet reduces your cardiovascular risk factors.
Study
The researchers divided the subjects into 2 groups. One group just ate healthy, [HD] the second group also - but also ate 250 grams of fresh oyster mushrooms 4 times a week. [HD+Po] The second group therefore consumed a kilo of oyster mushrooms per week.
Results
At the end of the three months of the supplementation period, the concentration of triglycerides and glucose in the subjects' blood had decreased. In addition, the women showed a decrease in the amount of visceral fat.

The researchers suspect that these two substances in particular explain the positive cardiovascular health effect.
The reduction in glucose levels in men may be due to anti-inflammatory compounds in oyster mushroom, the Mexicans speculate. This could increase insulin sensitivity.
Finally, edible mushrooms contain chitin. They inhibit the absorption of fats from food - and thus the absorption of energy from food. This may explain the decrease in visceral fat.
