Oligonol, the lychee supplement that protects against heart attacks
Oligonol, a lychee-based supplement that has been shown to inhibit muscle breakdown in animal studies and increase endurance in human studies, protects against strokes and heart attacks, and perhaps also against diabetes.
Oligonol
Amino Up supported the authors of the study we are now discussing with supplements, placebos, and hard-to-find chemicals. As far as we can determine, there was no question of full blown sponsorship.
Study
The researchers do not mention dosages, but we suspect that they used a product that contained 100 milligrams of extract per capsule.
Results
Oligonol lowered the concentration of triglycerides in the blood by 17 percent. Triglycerides are usually found in the 'extremely unhealthy cholesterol' VLDL. This shift suggests that Oligonol protects against vascular disease, stroke and heart attacks.

Oligonol lowered the concentration of resistin in the blood. That may imply that oligonol reduces the risk of type-2 diabetes.
Conclusion
"Dietary restriction and/or increased physical activity in addition to Oligonol might lead to more weight loss than is achieved without the supplement."
"Future studies should focus on this latter point, along with characteristics of best responders."
